The dishcloths in the kitchen are usually greasy and difficult to clean. Some families do not have a good storage place. The longer the rag is used, the more bacteria there are. After a brand-new rag was used at home for a week, the number of bacteria reached 2.2 billion, including E. coli, Salmonella, mold and some viruses. Therefore, it is extremely important to change or disinfect the rag frequently. After cleaning the rag every 3-5 days, boil it in boiling water for 20-30 minutes, soak it in household disinfectant for 30 minutes, or heat it in the microwave oven at high temperature for 1 minute. Rags that are too greasy should be eliminated in time.
In addition, if a piece of cloth not only wipes the table top and the pool, but also wipes the knives and dishes, it will cause cross transmission of bacteria. Therefore, the dishcloth in the kitchen must be used separately according to the needs to achieve “special cloth”.
There should be at least 3 pieces of rags in the kitchen, such as a piece for cleaning the table and sink, a piece for cleaning the knives and shovels, and a piece for cleaning the dishes and chopsticks. It can also be subdivided, but it is better to choose different styles and colors to show the difference to avoid using the wrong cloth.
